One of our number one priorities when planning a wedding for our couples is creating an event that feels like them. For us, that starts at the very beginning of the planning process as we get to know you. There are so many factors that go into a well planned wedding- from the contracts and lists to the catering and decor, but at the end of the day weddings are all about feelings. Warmth, nostalgia, excitement- all of these elements make for a wedding day that you and your guests will talk about for years to come!

While you don’t need “wedding colors”, knowing your wedding style and aesthetic will help guide your floral choices, rental options, and overall wedding vibe. Your unique style is more than choosing colors and decorations. It comes down to crafting an experience that reflects your personality and all of the things that you two love.

The size of your guest list can help you determine what type of wedding style you want- are you into an intimate 20 person wedding on a yacht or are you thinking of a 150 person wedding in a historic space?

Your everyday choices in terms of decor and lifestyle are a great place to start gathering ideas. Are you drawn to a neutrals or a more classic look? Maybe you gravitate towards things that are super colorful? Do you love vintage pieces? Those things are important to take into consideration. While you can certainly try new things for your wedding, we still want it to feel like an extension of you!

Look at the images you are constantly saving on your phone and put them together into a few photo collages (or moodboards). Even things that aren’t necessarily wedding-related can help us get a picture of what you are envisioning. Gather any and all pins that really resonate with you. This allows us to narrow down on what you really love and figure out what type of wedding vibe you are into.

Here are two different weddings where couples put their personalities into the decor and their guests could not stop talking about it!

First up is Haley and Paul who love Taylor Swift and mugs! The bride’s dad designed an escort card display with inspiration from Taylor’s song “Lover” and the couple made friendship bracelets modeled after the Era’s Tour. The couple collects mugs and wanted to have a space where they could share that with their guests- they thrifted over 50 mugs for guests to use throughout the night and took home at the end.

Margot and Vince love skiing and go on multiple trips each year! They wanted to bring that aesthetic into their wedding day, so they decided to design a custom escort card display complete with faux lift tickets that guests used to find their tables. They created table numbers named after different mountains that they love to ski. They wanted an elegant wedding, with a few nods to their love of skiing and they were able to have both!
